Wrong-way Driving Detection

In the United States, approximately four hundred people die in wrong way driving accidents each year.
The Argos Saviour system accurately detects vehicle movement against the flow of traffic on roadways, unaffected by external factors such a vehicle lights or weather conditions, which easily diminish the reliability of less advanced 2D camera system.

High Tolerance to Critical Weather Conditions - Practically eliminates false alarms in rainy, windy and snowy conditions - Unaffected by strong lights from vehicles. High Accuracy in 3D Stereo Vision 99%+ - Bi-directional system detects moving objects in 3D.
- System provides accurate height information - Able to distinguish objects from the background in a high-density area.
- The system is able to alert the authorities if any vehicles enter the wrong way.
- Able to emit an emergency notification to any smart phone device. Emits warnings and alarms to traffic and police authorities. Also able to reach drivers via highway alerts or even smart phone push notifications. The 3D camera is placed strategically a few yards behind the exits in order to capture images of the vehicle prior to entering the wrong way. The camera is linked to the main server which is then connected to the router for remote monitoring. The entire system is located within a weatherproof box and works continuously 24H/365days.

Our 3D system was chosen by The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport

During the summer season, our 3D system had a 99.2% accuracy.

During the winter season, our 3D system proved to be 100% accurate.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in Japan is aiming to make the number of accidents that are caused by the wrong way driving down to Zero by year 2020.

To help achieve this goal, they contacted private companies for wrong way vehicle detection technology and 36 companies applied for the testing.

After one year of testing, our Argos 3D wrong way vehicle detection system was chosen by The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as the most accurate system with an accuracy of 99.6%. They announced this on their web page* on December 18th, 2018, as well as on the East, West and Central Nippon Expressway web page.
